New Head Office

Phoenix has moved to a new facility in Castle Hill. The 900 sq.m of office, lab and assembly areas has permitted expansion of the services and capabilities the company can provide.

Current testing capability has been augmented with the construction of a vibration test rig, a crush test rig and with improvements to the existing cable based winch test rig.

CTD Selection for Phoenix Engineering

The Minister for Defence Science and Personnel, Warren Snowdon, announced that five projects were selected out of 119 submissions received under the Defence Capability and Technology Demonstrator (CTD) Program. Phoenix’s Nanoparticle-Hydrophone Development project was one of the five selected.

This development has the potential to improve underwater sonar sensing for ships, submarines and unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV). The two year project will be run from the Castle Hill facility.
